The wait is almost over. Walking Through Addiction launches in the fall.

After years of writing, rewriting, reliving the joys and heartaches of motherhood and healing, I'm finally ready to share my story.

I’m thrilled to officially announce the launch of my debut memoir, Walking Through Addiction, a Mothers Journey Through her Son's Addiciton, and Back to Herself, coming October 2026.

This book was written for the mothers, fathers, partners, and family members who love someone struggling with addiction — and who need to know they are not alone.

Writing this book has been a long and emotional journey, and there were many times I doubted myself along the way. I am deeply grateful to everyone who encouraged me to keep writing and reminding me that I did have a story to tell.

A special thank you to my son, Nathan Kinghorn. Thank you for giving me permission to tell our family’s story. I will never forget your words when I asked how you felt about me writing this book:

“Mom, if you think it will help one other person, I’m all for it.”

Your willingness to be vulnerable so that other families may feel seen and understood is something I deeply admire. I couldn’t be prouder of you, son.
